Connection Factory

I am involved with an EPSRC funded research project, working with Prof David Gauntlett and Dr Anna Piela at the University of Westminster. The mentor group also includes Dr Adrian Woolard (BBC North) and Rowena Goldman (BBC Future Media and Technology). Connection Factory launched last month with an event which discussed the future of public service media. Rowena has blogged about the project on the BBC R and D blog.

The idea of Connection Factory is to draw together academics and producers of public service media for innovation. There are already over 200 members of the network, and from the beginning, it was obvious that it would attract international interest. Dr Alice Bell has written a piece about the event ‘Public Service Media in the Digital Age’ as well.
